Hollingworth Lake.

A Saturday spent in the great outdoors which is always a pleasure in my world!

This morning I enjoyed going round the traditional village block that many folk frequent in Northowram. I saw many a dog walker who always have a cheery smile to share. It must be something about being a dog owner! :-)

Mum and I took the scenic route to Hollingworth Lake this afternoon which involved going over the tops and dropping down into Delph. I always love being up high on Saddleworth Moor; it's one of my favourite places to cycle. You feel as though you're in the middle of nowhere away from the rest of the world!

A blustery walk around Hollingworth Lake followed and it seemed the blue skies were saved for Yorkshire, as my photo shows! I can understand why. ;-)

It's an evening of fireside relaxation this evening listening to the wind howling outside. It's set to really pick up speed and force over night, with added heavy rain to boot. Hang on to your hats!!
