A different kind of flower
Slept well up until 5.30 but after that it was fitful until we got up.
A gorgeous sunny morning, blue sky, not a cloud in sight. We walked down into town, picked up the papers, a couple of things I needed for dinner tonight, then we treated ourselves to an early brunch in Reds.
A slimmers breakfast for me, hub had his usual Club Sandwich, and coffee of course.
We walked home, unpacked the bits and bobs, then headed out into the garden to do some cutting back and tidying up before the forecasted storm reaches us.
Two hours later, a break for a brew, a rest in the summerhouse, before planting up some small bulbs in various pots. The garden bin is full again! The wind was starting to get up as we put things away, moved our glass garden table into the garage, just in case!
Next into the kitchen. I had already marinated some chicken breasts in lemon, chilli & garlic this morning, that was mixed into some yogurt seasoned with an indian spice mix, left for 6 hours. I made a tomato & onion curry base with cashew nut paste, more spices, the base of butter chicken. The chicken was charred on the griddle, mixed into the sauce, served this evening with quick naan breads, and a poppdum.
I also made a Spcied & Roasted Cauliflower Soup........which is my blip for today. It tastes really good and warming.
Just sat down, its almost 7pm now......no wonder my legs are aching ;-)
Rain has just atarted here, windy, but so far so good. Hope everyone stays safe...better still, lets hope this storm isnt as bad as the forecasters would have us believe.
Take care all
