2020 Tuesday — Pencil Memories

This pencil was on my nightstand as I got into bed tonight. It is a reminder of several things:

We were at our coast house when we took a road trip up Highway 1 to Big Sur summer of 2018. We actually did that twice. Both times we stopped at Nepenthe, which is a famous spot there with two different restaurants and a unique, well stocked gift store. That’s where I discovered these pencils.

This pencil also reminds me of all the student essays I’ve graded fall 2018, spring 2019, and half of fall 2019. The phrase on the pencil is “Half the Pressure, Twice the Speed.” I’ve really enjoyed using these pencils; I have several of them.

Memories! I thoroughly enjoy them.
