The green-ish grass of home

Despite the sympathy expressed for Casey yesterday we had another walk today - he enjoys it, honestly - it's just the stopping he resents. Anyway, since the ambient temperature of the house was, I noticed, under 15C/60F, keeping the circulation going with some regular exercise is a good idea for both of us.

We ascended a nearby hill to get a good view of the state of the snow cover. Here is the prospect looking south west, away from the sea. There's just a skim of the white stuff on the littoral fields but it thickens further inland.

Below me is the road that follows the coast. The line of trees halfway across the landscape indicates where the deep cut valley of the River/Afon Gwaun winds down to meet the sea at Fishguard/Abergwaun further to the right. The cluster of buildings set in the fields between the road and the valley marks the location of our property and the two adjoining farms. The white house furthest left is part of our dwelling with our outbuildings close by. I've put a zoomed shot in folio which shows it in a little more detail, or you can enlarge this image by pressing the L key. The snow-covered roofs make the whole farmstead (as it once was) show up more clearly than normal so this is an opportunity not to be missed. Not as green as usual of course - more of a monochrome patchwork instead.
