An English Cottage

Every week I sit at the desk in my den...doing my Sunday Skool lesson. This charming little cottage sits at my eye level. I don't know why...but last night I picked it up, and turned it over.

It is titled Spring Bank, and it is made by a company called Lilliput Lane in Cumbria, United Kingdom.

HOLD ON TO YOUR SHUTTER BUTTON! I know somebody from Cumbria! I jumped up and went to my computer...tuning into Blip. I opened up the Subcriptions/Subcribers page...and there it was. Cumbria Here I Come, and her dog Bonnie. Beautiful journal.

I think that has been the biggest pro of the pros and cons of Blip. To see the mountains and seashores of places like Cumbria and New Zealand. To see the flooding of the Thames River, and to see geisha girls in Japan. All that on top of all the great United States blip sites...especially of places I have been to.
Where else are you going to get so much variety?

I returned to my den, and studied the small cottage. No back door...no side door...where's the second door? And...how do you ever go barefoot on those stone walkways? And...what's that roof material made of?

I decided to close my eyes, and push my imagination even more. I heard the sheep baaing. I heard the horses neighing. I heard one donkey braying. And then...and then...Kate Winslet opened the upstairs window and leaned out. She was wearing one of those peasant blouses. "Could you come in for a spot of tea?" I answered back... "You bet your Earl Grey I'll have some tea."

My sweatered chihauhau broke the trance. She came in to share my electric heater. Just as well. I don't really like tea...although I think I could hace forced down a cup with Kate. After seeing her in Titanic, it made me want to be an artist.

Lisa finally caught the dreaded female version of the man cold. She's a mess. I'm trying to do the best I can to take care of her. Perhaps I'll make her some tea.
