Catkins
Almost midnight when MrM came back from last night's music session with TomH, who was to stay over, and well in to the early hours of this morning before we turned in. So it was with more than a little reluctance that we prized ourselves out of bed this morning!
I dashed off to singing, which was a little unusual. It was the official opening of the local building society downstairs at the Cheviot Centre where we meet and, apparently, we'd been asked to sing for it. V chose half a dozen songs and, after a quick run through, sing we did. But judging from the noise from the assembled throng, it was very doubtful that anyone listened! Later on, before leaving the building, most of the singing group partook of cake and Prosecco, courtesy the building society's opening celebration. It would have been rude not to!
Such a beautiful still day that MrM decided to have a short walk on the Common. The hazel trees are full of catkins. No squirrels around today, but we were probably a little too late - as we left the sun had gone down and the moon was rising (extra).
A good yoga session this evening. Shattered now - an early night may be on the cards...
