Rain and slippery roads once again

Went to the hospital this morning for some X-rays to get a better look at my hip.  Literally had to walk like a penguin to get back to my workplace, the road and pavement was VERY slippery!

Spent the afternoon at the university for a lecture about the effects of stress and trauma on children's development and mental (and physical) health.  The lecturer is an old friend of mine and we graduated and worked together as preschool teachers.  She's been living in England for some time now and just moved back to Iceland a few months ago.  Lovely to catch up with her and have dinner together before she went back to Reykjavík.
