A stroll by the river

This morning was spent at the gym for the two usual classes and I returned home with legs aching from the new exercises.  Once home I had an invitation to join some friends on a walk along the river exploring a walk that they were leading in a few weeks time.  I know I should have been sorting photos out but by now the sun had come out.  We had a good ramble and spotted many birds including a jack snipe, curlew and little egret.  We also came across areas where the local beavers had been at work - see extra.  Another find was an area of violets which unfortunately didn't have any fragrance.

Now I must get back to the photo editing.
