Sitting in the sun
I was way too early for my train this morning but I know I set off at the usual time for the bus so basically I booked a later train than usual! Must be my age.
It was a super morning, hard frost on the cars still when I walked down to the bus stop. Arriving at Temple Meads I realised I had over two hours till my train. There is bakers with a recommended cafe below the station parking area so I headed down there for a coffee. It was recommended to be my SiL John but when I went last it was afternoon and they were just closing up as being a bakery they start very early.
Lots of tempting and unusual savoury pastries as well as cakes but what I bought to bring home was a sourdough loaf. Sorry Eda!
I have eaten gluten free all week and it’s been fine but the bread is the biggest let down. We had toasted M&S hot cross bun and they were fine and Eda seems more than happy with the specialist white bread but it doesn’t quite do it.
When I came out I sat in lovely sunshine here by the flower stall for about 45 mins. I was intrigued by the blue taxis and there double line formation. I wondered how they knew when it was time for them to move to the pick up circle on the forecourt. I had been chatting to a man picking up rubbish who was of obvious Caribbean origin by his accent and who was loving the sun and glad to be working outside. I asked him and he assured me that they knew whose turn it was! They are waiting there turn all over the car park area before joining the lines.
Grace sent me some shots of Eda taken before she went to nursery this morning. Love the one that capture her happy dancing movement.
Home now but will be back in a couple of weeks. Must remember to book the earlier train next time but I enjoyed my morning sit in the sun.
