New Kid on the Block

This is the latest shop to open in our barrio, less than 5' walk away.  It's much bigger than it looks from the shop front here as it occupies a corner so you can enter it from Calle Numancia or Calle Berlin.  It's got a bakery section with a little cafe, supermarket with fresh fruit and veg and an interesting range of things in jars and tins.  It's not fully open yet and I think they're going to have a fresh meat section too.  There are quite a few of them in Bcn, but I think this is the biggest.  Very roughly translated from Catalan I think the message on the window is: 'We promote a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle, facilitating access to nutritious food, keeping the planet clean and with a firm commitment to society and to the atmosphere'.   Better this than another nail salon or hairdressers, which seem to be popping up everywhere!
