Housing Demonstration
This morning Alicia came over and we planned our trip to Paris for the upcoming weekend. I'm excited to go to Paris. I'm not ready for the expensiveness that is Paris, but here we come!
In the afternoon, I met up with April and two other French students, Simon and Alice, who are going to be studying at Berkeley in the summer at Victoire. We just went walking down the river and talked about all sorts of things in French and in English. We talked about food, films, similarities between the US and France, and much more. However, a returning subject was food. At the end of our walk down the river we bought Lindt chocolate at a wholesale Lindt shop. The chocolate was delicious! It was kinda fun getting to spend the day with real French students. They're both really excited to go to California and they're both trying to find housing through April's friends. I offered to help, but my connections up at Berkeley are limited.
About this photo, as we were waiting for Simon to arrive, there were old folks protesting to protect their homes. Apparently, the government is trying to evacuate them from their houses to build social apartments or rather housing for a great number of people in particular the poor (if I remember correctly).
