Remnants from a different time

I was walking on a lane from the village this afternoon and stopped to admire the moon rise (you can just see it) when I saw this notice. There are many of these all around the UK, not least in my home town of Sunderland where so many people voted to leave. Sigh.

It was sunny when I set out, but the sun set and the temperature dropped very quickly. See extra for the last rays.

I've been at home doing "stuff" today because I'm out all day tomorrow.

I gather that the long walkers were struggling again in lots of clarts.
