The Ladybirds & Lichen

Still recovering from last night's film Corpus Christi  My poor heart was beating wildly as we spilled out into the foyer, everyone a bit shell shocked. What an absolutely brilliant film! Loosely based on a true story about a juvenile offender who is sent to work in a sawmill but gets distracted and ends up in a village where he tells them he is a priest.The people are in shock after a recent traumatic event and he turns out to be a wonderful priest and so begins redemption and a salvation. But this isn't Hollywood. Magnificently acted by a young man part thug part angel, a film with a real story and message, and I'm still thinking about it. If any film should win an Oscar ..... Do see it if you can.

Today's blip could be possible contender for Talpa's  occasional pub name series. Chilly and bright, a great day to be in the garden. Clearing around a wall these two little critters were enjoying a bit of sunshine on an old lichen covered stone.
