Bath time

The sun came out this morning and a group of Starlings queued up for a quick dip in the bird bath. The water must still have been a tad cold....poor things.

After snapping a few shots of them I opted for a quick walk down my local lanes in the hope of finding some new birds for the 2020 list. There are some flooded horse's fields locally and in the past I have found Common Sandpipers there...well today there were 2 different Sandpipers in the form of Green and Common. Other birds included a flock of circa 100 Fieldfare, 6 Little Egrets, Pied Wagtails and numerous Black Headed Gulls.

Green Sandpiper (92)
Common Sandpiper (93)
Fieldfare (94)

The 100th is not too far away.
