Giraffe & Friends

We decided yesterday that we'd go to Khao Kheow to see the zoo;  it's about an hour's drive and because we went early the traffic wasn't too bad and when we got there we found we'd beaten the crowds.  The way round, entrance etc wasn't particularly well signed (unless you could read Thai) but eventually we got the hang of it and we really enjoyed the visit.  The animals looked well cared for and apparently it's the second largest wildlife park in the world.  We stayed two hours but I could have stayed all day but neither of us can spend a long time in the heat so two hours plus travelling time was a good compromise.

Thank you for the interest in my wasp yesterday;  clever Blippers have identified it as a Red Potter Wasp which isn't aggressive and doesn't live in a colony.  It get's it's name from it's habit of building a "pot" in which it stores caterpillars.
