Something New

As a venue for a meeting that is. I hope they let me out.

I am at Leigh Spinners Mill - in Leigh (extra). It’s grade 2* listed, absolutely huge, contains a business on one and a half floors (making artificial turf and carpets), but the rest of it is full of an eclectic range of uses. A former colleague is now the chair of the Building Preservation Trust here. He may be retired, but running a 580,000 sq ft mill and all the voluntary and other activity looks more like a full time job to me. He’s doing well.
