Red Hazel flowers

..for today's red-themed TinyTuesday, because, as mindful_life says this week Friday 'is national wear red day and is observed to bring awareness of heart disease and stroke'.  Seems a good enough reason to me ;)

I have wanted to include these tiny hazel flowers in my journal for a while, mainly because they are one of the many things blip has taught me.  I've been looking at catkins all my life, but only realised about the flowers roughly 3 years ago.  Dhurr!  I found them on today's lovely and pretty long walk, but decided to bring a twig back to blip at home because of the wind that set everything dancing.  The length of the petals is about 1mm.
