A place in time

Are you sitting comfortably?

It arrived today...Mr A Jnr's new sofa!  And we did get him that cushion, but it seems he also got two cushions of his own to match the upholstery.  Looks like his supposed cushion-aversion has been overcome, eh?

Anyway, we rounded off the day with an evening meal at the nearby French Horn

A most successful day, apart from a frantic trip over to Mum's pharmacist in Church Crookham first thing in the morning when they had failed to deliver her blood pressure tablets (the only drugs she needs), despite the repeat prescription being sent to her GP two weeks ago...and the prescription sitting in the pharmacy for a whole week.  So she was without her medication for about 5 days, and when her BP rocketed to nearly 180/95 this morning and she wasn't feeling at all well I had to shoot over to deal with it myself.  The arrangement is that the pharmacy should deliver to her, but the staff there seemed quite disinterested that a lady of 93 was left without her medication for best part of a week.  Time to change GP surgery & pharmacy, I think, as this is not the first time this has happened.  Harrumph.

Thought for the day:

"Are you sitting comfortably?  Then I'll begin..." (Listen with Mother)

Probably fond memories of this quote for anyone over a certain age...

I also need to sort out my Blipfoto membership, which appears to have vanished into thin air despite renewing at the weekend...so am currently unable to add a second image.
