View over Arnside and the River Kent

A few days break. Got away mid morning and arrived at Arnside at midday. I'm doing my second recce for the workshop I'm leading in September. I parked at the station, as we may get the train to Arnside, and then walked up to the view point at the top of Arnside Knott. This panoramic over Arnside and the River Kent was taken on my phone. 

On the way up I did a lot of macro photography, although it was rather windy. I also couldn't carry my tripod because of my elbow and it was hard keeping the camera still let alone anything else being blown in the wind. I've ended up with a reasonable selection though.

It was lovely and sunny and the views from the top were great, although a little hazy. 

I arrived at Thornleigh Christian Hotel to find that they had upgraded me and I have a sea view. It's a lovely big room. The evening meal was delicious too.
