Canada Goose

It was very windy this morning with a real wind chill factor .... gloves, woolly hat, jacket hood up ..... that was just enough protection till the rain came on!

Today, most of the birds had gathered on the sheltered side of the island in the middle of the Heritage Park loch. 

I wasn't expecting to get any decent photos till, up at the far end of the loch I came upon a pair of Canada Geese on the grass. One was grazing and the other was just sitting with wings spread as if it was protecting goslings from the rain .... which of course it wasn't!
