Miracle baby

Dad and I are going to the Diabetic Association offices tomorrow to meet some of the staff, be part of a presentation and to talk about Mum.  She/we are of interest to them as she left money in her will to the Diabetic Association.

Another reason she’s so interesting is that so much has changed in her lifetime in the  treatment of diabetics.  So, just before I got on the train this afternoon Dad asked me to look up in my Baby Book exactly how long Mum was hospitalised before I was born.  (Answer 6 and a half weeks).
