Peekie

Such a sad day.  My darling and much loved godmother died this morning.  She was my mother's best and dearest friend, and I was so honoured to have her as my godmother.  She was so full of love and kindness, so wise and caring, and oh, so much fun.  Her given name was Eve, but (for reasons unknown) my mother always called her "Peekie", and that is how I knew her too.  She lived a long life (92 years!) but how I wish she were still here.  I will miss her terribly.  A glass of Scotch -- her favourite tipple --  will most definitely be raised to her loving memory this evening.
