What snow?

After taking yesterday's Blipfoto I stopped into the pub for a couple pints, upon emerging I found it was snowing! Fairly large fluffy flakes were falling and not melting. Taking photos of falling snow in the dark doesn't usually work, so I headed home thinking "snowy Blip tomorrow".

I could have posted an image of the castle or Arthur's Seat which both had a reasonable amount of snow on them today, but I thought I'd be different and post this image of Calton Hill as seen from North Bridge.

The small circular tower on the left is David Hume's Musaleum, the stone needle beside it is a monument to "political martyrs". Nelson's monument can be seen on top of Calton Hill in the center. To the right can be seen what used to the Prison Governor's house the only standing remains of the prison that used to be on the site, now replaced with St. Andrews House, which can be just glimpsed on the extreme right (offices for Scottish Government paper pushers).

If you look closely you can see some snow lying on the top of the walls in the foreground, but exposed to the sun all day most has melted.
