Male House Finch

I took this, most lazily, through our front window. He and his lady friend were taking turns indulging in the safflower seeds that are laid out in the planter for any of the birds that would like them. A beautiful day today, with sunshine all day long, and a temperature of 52 degrees F. Our usual temp for the beginning of February is more like 19F, so it's considerably higher than normal, but no one's complaining! Tom & I went out for an enjoyable walk, and soon we'll start watching the pre-super bowl hype. The 49 er's out-played our Packers and ended their chance of playing in the Super Bowl, (at least for this year), but because they knocked them out, I'm pulling for Kansas City to win! Hope it's a good game, and hope you've all had a great weekend! :)
