Just another manic Sunday
At Radio Shroppy for 7am to look through the papers. Unfortunately it was a slow news day today (aside from Corona and the B word) so I spent more time than I would have liked talking about church bells.
After church I was speaking to a lady who is just about to turn 90. I asked her what her best decade so far had been. Her reply was her 30s (which were the 50s). As a newly trained nurse she got a £10 ticket to Canada where she spent a wonderful two years, learning to drive and taking long camping trips all over North America. I enjoyed her stories. I hope I’m still getting the train down to London to see a show when I’m approaching 90!
A quick run, a quick visit from a tearful neighbour and then Andrew came over to put some shelves up in the spare room. Loving having a little cosy corner, especially as it’s probably the nicest place in the house to sit if the sun is out. I love gazing out at the hills from this spot.
Youth Gathering tonight with quiz, chips and a testimony. Manic but brilliant and now I’m trying to wind down after being wired all evening with a bunch of lively (and lovely) teens.
