Early Hawthorn

My former work colleague is training for a 100km sponsored trek in sub-arctic Sweden later this month. Today I accompanied her on a non-stop fifteen and a half mile walk from Seaford to Lewes with three big hill climbs. In early morning sun the walk was enlivened by the singing of larks and the sight of early Hawthorn flowers.
