Candlemas

Imbolc/Candlemas and St Bridget’s Day are celebrated over 1st and 2nd February as the first intimations of spring arise in the natural world. Brigid crosses woven from rushes were traditionally set over doorways and windows to protect the home from any kind of harm during the year.
