The colourful Jay

Initially I thought I had captured a perfectly posed Jay...but as the shutter opened and closed it took to the air and I thought that's ruined the photo but surprisingly the shot in flight isn't too out of focus. 


Jays are highly intelligent loudmouths. The jay is known for its love of acorns which it often leaves hidden. These forgotten snacks are credited with the rapid spread of oaks after the last Ice Age.
