Everything takes so much more thought, therefore time. So no great achievement, just baby steps.
Tom went out at 8 to play at SQF (3-3 at half time, lost 7-3 - I think they played into the wind 2nd half)
Alex and I went off shopping, armed with a magnifying glass and a calculator to figure out meals for the next couple of days. It took a while longer than usual...
Folks arrived to view the patient for an hour, coffee was consumed and Tom showed face.
Lunch (scales, calculator) and out for a 1430 RV with Pensioner. As our proposed trip to Preston v Swansea had fallen foul of recent events we contented ourselves with Embra City v Binos. Embra's form since they cuffed Cove and threaten to make a championship race has been erratic. The Binos had 4 straight wins away.
A tight first half with Stirling creating better opportunities; Embra exerting greater pressure and forcing a couple of good saves from set pieces.
The rain came, the boys played football and then Jordan McGregor nicked a back post header in, Nicky Hogarth performed a couple more wonder saves and the Binos escaped with all 3 points.
A soggy squelch home to see Scotland fall short in Dublin (they had the chances...!) and more bafflement at how blood sugar works in Alex.
And later still musing if I'd swap diabetes for MH issues in a child (She ended up at Sick Kids for a couple hours with a suspected broken ankle caused in part by teen alcohol intake)
