Lounging Luna
Wish I was as chill as this girl, but that will never be. Luna has been enjoying some freedom as she’d been jumping over her enclosure. We briefly had open plan for her but have brought the taller enclosure out, which she has yet to scale. She’s taken to repeated thumping to get her way when she’s free, and out neighbour wouldn’t be happy with that overnight. Once she’s spayed she will be able to go in with the other buns and be free range, I hate keeping her in Bunny jail.
I had an echocardiogram today. I had an abnormality on an ECG that they wanted to check out. It turns out that due to my pectus excavatum(curved sternum), my heart is not in the usual position. The term the physiologist used was ‘off axis’, basically fancy for not in the right place. He had to modify his technique slightly and still wasn’t able to get a great view as my heart is just not in the right position to get a clear view. The good news is that this is likely the cause of the ECG abnormality as the leads are looking at my heart from the wrong angles.
I have always suspected this could be the case, but never had any confirmation until now. I’m going to ask for some follow up tests to quantify my PE as no one has ever done that, mostly just out of curiosity.
