It was raining heavily when I brought the milk in off the doorstep at 8 o'clock. Still wet when we drove to the garden centre mid-morning. Didn't think about photos there. I kept looking out during the afternoon between jobs but there was no improvement. 

Finally  around 4 o'clock, when it was too late to go out, it brightened. Best I could do was point the camera out of the bedroom window. I think the tree looks more interesting with the birds. They're probably the jackdaws that appear in my garden as soon as I put food out.
