And so finisheth the week of work....left at 1.30pm after the night shift and went straight to the flicks for Richard Jewell - surprisingly entertaining, solid, unflashy, well-performed, etc. I say that having not liked a Clint Eastwood film for donkeys, (and obviously the better ones are the ones that he isn't acutally in himself). Having read an article a while back, however, about the stereotyped female journalist in the film, I did recoil somewhat at the obvious sexist nature of this portrayal - not cool Clint! And the film could have totally done without it too plotwise as well.

After that it was time for a teatime pint and home for takeaway curry and to, erm, finish off the cryptic crossword. Plus see the big news of the night of course.....Hull City's £20 million-rated striker Jarrod Bowen* got signed by West Ham. Thanks for all the goals Jarrod, but our play-off chances now look a little bit slimmer than they did on Thursday.
