Friday quiz question (no Google allowed): what do you call a group of worms? No clue provided.
This is just some of the mass that had gathered in the lip of the compost bin lid, a much favoured worm spot. The big, green slugs that also like that spot weren’t so lucky, they got the chop. No allotment work yet, the ground’s a bit boglike but I noticed the garlic was sprouting merrily. Maybe a portent of a fine year’s harvest?
