Go out quiz night.

It took us ages to find the venue as our (rubbish) sat-nav wouldn't even accept the post code as existing let  alone the venue. Google sat-nav found the place but street names and streets didn't match up. Luckily I had looked it up before we left the house so I knew where it should be and eventually managed to find it (others were having the same problem because we kept coming across other cars doing U-turns and drivers sitting scratching their heads).


However - we got there and most of the others who had said they were coming eventually arrived (but not all - they are probably lost in the maze for all eternity now).
It was a charity event to raise funds for The Ambulance Staff Charity who help and support staff and families in times of need (very apt at the moment as the local ambulance station has just lost a member).
Our team was the smallest with  just Chopper Girl, Mr & Mrs Grumpy  (also known as The Macs), SWMBO and yours truly.
We didn't start well.
However, we surprised ourselves in the Sport section and were in 3rd spot when we went into the Entertainment section were SWMBO aced it (as expected).
That left the Medical section...……..
Chopper girl was on her own there! - up against a room full of medical types including a hot shot doctor.

She was kicking herself when she got 1 question wrong.

But she still beat all the other teams...……………...
If I ever need rescuing by helicopter or any other means - I want it to be by Chopper Girl.



In the raffle each of us in the team won prize ……… bonus!



The home made stovies were excellent (well done Diane) as were the award winning pies donated by the butcher (Forsythes) in Peebles.



At the end of the night there was £400 raised for TASC.





All in all  -- a really good day
