on the Thames in a blizzard

Heavy grey skies greeted us this morning, and then snow, at first fine and barely visible, but then with increasing intensity.
But we had booked and paid for a city cruise down the river from Westminster to Greenwich and back and so that's what we did.
I was determined not to miss Tower Bridge, which I last saw as a small child with my Dad, and so I travelled downriver on the open top deck which was already under an inch of snow. I was the only one up there as we went under the bridge and people on the bridge waved to me . I felt like the queen!
But it was freezing cold. Its not clear in the picture but it was snowing hard on a strong cold wind.
