Sophie's Ready For School!

After Thursday night sleepovers, Friday mornings are normally rather hectic, getting Sophie up, fed, dressed and out of the door by eight to be at the classroom door in Bridgwater by 8.40.

For some reason this morning, she was all ready to go with 5 minutes to spare and insisted on posing to have her photo taken to mark the occasion.

Mind you, she was awake at 6.30 and reading in bed. She's always loved books and is doing really well with learning to read; her school uses a phonic system and she's becoming confident in sounding words out, both out loud and in her head.

Anyway, it's been a few weeks since I posted a Sophie blip so here she is.

After we dropped her off we went back to Kate's to dismantle Sophie's old little bed (her new one was delivered yesterday) and brought that back here for storing (just in case!).

We then walked over to Glastonbury to visit our friend Rosie who's recovering from an operation she had a week ago.

This afternoon it was on the bikes to do the shopping for tonight's dinner, so we've had no trouble getting our quota of exercise in today.
