The Castle, the Statue and the three lads

Woke up not feeling too bad after the whisky tasting last night. J went to meet a friend so they could walk the 5K run route around Holyrood Park they will be doing in when the Edinburgh marathon is on, while I went up to the gym
A short trip to Screwfix had the washing machined fully functioning and tested. Spent the rest of the afternoon sorting out photos for the three photo albums we have to get finished by next weekend.

Went out late in the afternoon with a view of getting a motion photo for this weeks blip challenge. Started at Charlotte square but with no luck, so went to Princes street. Had in mind trying to get some light trails but with no luck as the photo I wanted to get meant the busses stopped right in front of James Simpson's statue.

Decided on this photo in the end, three lads walked right in front of the statue allowing me to get some degree of movement in the shot. The statue was erected in 1877 to remember James Simpson who was the first person to understand the anaesthetic properties of chloroform and introduce it to medicine.
