Sunday walk to the Fairy Ring

I love lighthouses and there are only a few easily reached from mainland Guernsey.
Cold today but light wind so not too much chilling...bracing for a nice walk with the flatboats, Khan and Maizie.
We love the colour contrast of the bluey grey sky, dark grey rocks, lovely green turf and the burnt sienna of last year's bracken...quite a potpourrie of shades and colours.
Couldn't resist a root around on the beach so, lots more driftwood, sea glass and old corks to adorn the hacienda!! Going to have to start resisting this or become more selective!
If you look halfway up the rock face to the left, you will see the face of Mr West Wind, fortunately he held his breath during our walk 8-)

The Hanois Lighthouse rises from a reef on the south west side of the Island of Guernsey, and takes its name from the group of rocks - Les Hanois. The lighthouse marks the western end of the Channel Islands indicating the shoals and reefs to the west of Guernsey and providing a position fix for vessels entering the Channel Traffic Separation Scheme.
