From Russia With Love

The lady - not the parakeet. She is here on holiday apparently and a must do activity while you are in London is to go to Kensington Gardens to feed the parakeets. And stand under the trees and help compact the soil and bring on the demise of some beautiful old trees.

The parks have now fenced off the grassed area at Parakeet Central and so  the tourists (there were also some from Scotland) have to stand on a path. This has helped the distressed trees but another area of green is gradually being brought into use by the feeders. There are signs pleading with us not to feed the birds or squirrels but to no avail.

That's my rant over for the day.
