Reflections
I find water intriguing. I love the undulations of waves and the gentle wake left by stationary objects in moving water. In this picture, you see a tiny stick that is bravely battling the moving water. You may think that it will eventually succumb to the relentless power of the river, but if you look closely, you can see that this stick is only a small part of much larger submerged structure. If the structure is strong enough, it could last for a long time.
This reminds me of my kids. We teach them to be respectful, caring and responsible; values which underpin who they are and will guide them for the rest of their lives. However, once they leave the house, they can make their own decisions and will get assaulted by the negative forces and stereotypes that pervade society. I pray that their underlying values are strong enough and that they don't get swept away...
No Photoshopping here, just basic saturation, contrast, brightness and white balance.
