Swan Plant…

Monarch caterpillars are reliant on this plant for survival.

These dainty flowers and puffed buds hang in cluster on the swan plant, otherwise known as milk weed. 

Strong wind was forecast overnight, but it was minimal - then unpleasant hot gusty conditions arrived during the morning and prevailed until late afternoon - hence these flowers being picked and photographed inside!
