I drove to my Nottingham friend's house for lunch, but she announced that she didn't feel much like cooking and should we go out to eat? Yes please, so we ended up at Strelley Hall for a very tasty lunch!
Afterwards a walk round several local charity shops meant that I spent some money on a couple of books, a skirt for my India trip and two floaty scarves, one of which I'm going to make into a lightweight pillowcase for this summer's expedition to the Austrian Alps. Every ounce gram counts!
Having abandoned evening classes in German, because I couldn't cope with the past tense without already knowing the present tense, I'm now heavily into Duolingo. I didn't realise how competitive I was!
