Need some colour and light

Two horrendous days of dark, wet and windy weather. Last week there was some signs that the days were getting longer but the last few days have been more akin to the shortest day. The road home from the Peak was blocked by a fallen tree and a mini-landslide at Causwayhead this evening and when I got home I surveyed the garden for any wind damage. Some pots of spring bedding and bulbs had been blown over but I was pleased that there had been no damage to the greenhouse and propagators.. The one bright spot in the garden was the bamboos. They seem to have enjoyed this long, wet and comparatively mild winter. They may only be green but they add some much needed colour to the garden on a dark, dismal day
