Dent

What a beautiful place. Super scenery, hills, cobbled streets, a wool shop, lovely little lanes, sheep and, best of all at this stage in the trip, a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a shower! 

We have had some less than perfect sites, advertising as being open in January and as having showers but in reality they have turned the water off for the winter! One site provided buckets of water with which to flush the toilet but no water in the hand basin or shower, another a cold shower in an old builders site hut! That was at the other end of a large field of long grass and mud!

The site at Dent had a lovely, heart warming notice warning that the tap water was very hot! Oh, joy!  Having the opportunity for a hot shower was not to be missed! 

Only two other occupied van on the site and it was perfect. The bleating of sheep and the sky full of stars. A shame we couldn't stay longer than one night.
