Ebb and Flow

As you can see, a wonderful afternoon tea shared with dear friends B, A and H in the comfortable surroundings of the Blakeney Hotel.
Many subjects were discussed during our leisurely two-hour tea including such diverse subjects as marmalade making, local craft people, childhood memories, gym equipment, diets, cinema and, as is often the case, the beautiful area in which we all live.  The conversation ebbed and flowed like the tide in the harbour just outside the hotel window, as the sun sunk slowly over the marshes.  The patch of darkening sky, visible from the window was occasionally interrupted by the v shape of geese flying in to roost and gulls wheeling around the harbour looking for scraps.  We left in the dark, warmed by an afternoon of friendship and the shared experience of time well spent in excellent company.
