It is all about timing....
Guinness and I had a very slow start to the day and were pottering about the kitchen getting some breakfast on the go when I glanced out of the kitchen window...... There trotting up the wall (yes, the same spot as this blip) was a red bushy bold as brass fox!!
Mad panic!!!! Camera, where is it?! Belted round the kitchen on the slippy wooden floor waving arms wildly looking for camera with the big lense. Not in its usual place of course so more mad slipping about, tripping over the cat, swearing.....
Got camera, rushed to the window to try and spot him. We have sheep and cows in the field at the moment and when the sheep all suddenly started watching something I knew where to look. Managed to open the door and get up on top of the picnic table (very handy that table has been for blips! Havent used it half as much for actual eating off!!!) without the fox even realising I was there. I had to shout to get it to turn round for the face on shot. It just looked at me and I was able to get several in before it trotted off.
Shouted at it a lot then - not sure the pregnant sheep want a fox kicking about.... Much as it is beautiful, not sure I want it about too with Guinness. It belted off down the field. The sheep wisely all headed off in the opposite direction.
In other news.... a shoot out on the hill yesterday. Hope 'my' partridge are all still ok.
