The Passage of Time

Got out for some fresh air and took pictures of the snow but for me this picture meant more as it's a shop crammed full of all the toys of yesteryear that have all been played with and now looking for a new home and thinking of the memories we associate with objects. There were lots of Star Wars toys (alot still in original packaging) and that took me back to a place and time in my childhood were I had appendicitis and broke my wrist twice all within a short period of time when living in Ecuador. A friends of ours (my brother and me) was younger than us and his dad bought him all of the Star Wars toys when they originally came out and I think about whether he kept them or not when I'm reminded. They were well played with as we used to go to his house just to play with them. I thought he was a little spoilt but it was more likely just jealousy as those toys were so amazing at the time.

My favourite toy at that time was my roller skates. I lived outdoors on them, hence the two broken wrists. I was a good skater, just bad luck having a fall and then riding a bike straight after getting the cast off and breaking it again.

Oh, those were the days and only seem like 5 minutes ago in my mind.

Well, fellow blippers you're all fantastic for all your lovely comments and I'm catching up with you later today as I post this on Sunday and need to get to the gym. Impromptu late night last night so just getting started today.

Exercise - a walk
