Fair Isle Beanie...

Hand knit by my wonderful and talented friend Lady Findhorn. I'm sure the card in the extras is her handiwork too...

My friendship with Lady F goes back a long way, since we first met in 1973 when we descended upon her in Edinburgh with three small children. I'm not sure how we would have survived finding a place to live, a school for the children, a doctor, or even shopping for groceries without her guidance.

Since then we have met His Lordship, traveled together both in Scotland and in the U.S, and made many, many memories together. I will treasure this little souvenir of Scotland and of a long and wonderful relationship. 

Thank you, Lady F,  not only for the lovely birthday present (if I read the fine print on the parcel in the seagulls' neck correctly) but for all the good times, the stories, and the priceless friendship.
