Off to the football match
Just dropped Grandad and Joshua off at the station for their trip to London to see the Chelsea v Arsenal game - rather them than me! Josh predicts 3-0 to Chelsea - hope he isn't disappointed.
I did manage to persuade Josh to put another fleece on - told him he may be warm indoors, but it is pretty cold out there. In the car it was -3 and as I am typing, it is snowing again.
I know they will have a good day together and it is so important that we enjoy our grandchildren - I am hoping to go out with my granddaughter, but at 11.00 a.m. she is still sleeping - so I get some time on my own, which is great - may just go and put my feet up and read the Sunday Times!
Reminds me of the verse in the Psalms:
Children are a gift from The Lord; they are a reward from him.
Psalm 127 : 3
This also applies to grandchildren, but the real bonus with them is that you can love and enjoy them and then give them back!
