Great Parking

Really considerate workmen this lot.
They are to lazy to use a wheelbarrow from the front of the house so they drive into the next street and use the footpaths to get to this point ….. ruining the grass verges in the process.

The snow was gone this morning - but there was black ice ready to catch the unwary. Thankfully I managed to stay upright …… just.
There was a slight colouring in the sky this morning but it didn't come to anything special. The white on the path in that picture was solid ice.

After getting home and drying PD I put the kettle on for a cuppa and played with a couple of my spinning tops (inside a large glass bowl) - I liked the way the curves worked together.

On the afternoon walk it started to piddle down - so that was a second wet, filthy towel from PD.

I spent quite a while memory jogging by watching old AV shows during my hard drive clean up.
Just a shame they are the wrong format to put up on you-tube - the programme I used to use wasn't compatible.

The speaker at the camera club was a professional who does a lot of street photography. He spent half the evening subtly trying to persuade us that the way to go was to buy Leica film cameras as using digital is 'lazy' photography (apart from at night because film isn't really sensitive enough). "Cost" was not an issue (for him - who is sponsored by Leica).
